Hello,

Burning pain in the chest may be due to cardiac or non-cardiac problems. Cardiac problems are to be evaluated first by ECG and echocardiography. Non-cardiac causes are GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease), Bronchitis, pleurisy, intercostal muscle spasm, herpes zoster et cetera.

Avoid spicy food, alcohol, and smoking. Use Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week.

Please consult your physician, he/she will examine and diagnose the cause for chest pain and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
