What Causes Burning Eye, Swollen Lips And Runny Nose?

My left eye is burning and tearing and it is causing my nose to run. Visine has not seemed to help. While the right eye is ok but the right side of my lips(upper and lower) are swollen a bit. There is no pain in my lips, but they feel like when you just had novacaine, but they are NOT numb.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

Eye burning or tearing could be due to allergic or infective conjunctivitis with allergic rhinitis.

However, it can be diagnosed well only after clinical examination and some blood works.

You can go for routine blood counts with ESR to rule out chances of infection.

You should take antiallergic like antihistamines (cetrizine or Allegra) with vitamin B complex and folic acid.Antiallergic with antibiotics combination eye drops would also be helpful which are available over the counter.

Consult some local doctor or GP if problem remains even after above treatment.

Regards,
I find this answer helpful
