What Causes Bumps Underneath The Biceps?

I have small light red raised bumps on the insides of my biceps. I also have a few on my rib cage and outter chest. Somtimes they will not itch at all and other times they itch like crazy. I have never had anything like this before. There is no puss or discharge and most of them are extremely small like a pin needle.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be lichen urticatus most probably. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. It is a hypersensitivity reaction to the insects. I would recommend you to take oral steroids in tapering dose for few weeks. Take antihistaminics like cetirizine. Apply mild steroid cream on the lesions. Improve hygiene and keep away from insects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel, Dermatologist
