What Causes Bumps Under Tongue?

Hi I have these bubble like bumps on both sides of that string looking thing under my tongue. Not everyday but some days I will get a stinging or tingly sensation and the bubble bump on the right side will actually stick out then it will stay like that for about 30 seconds to a minute and I can feel it sticking out then it will shoot out a string of water of saliva then go back into normal and there is no pain and I can t feel it anymore. Any ideas what this could be? Thank you so much for your time!

Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain painless bubble like bumps under the tongue on the string looking thing that is lingual frenulum that releases water or saliva seems to be due to eruption of mucocele that occurs due to ruptured duct of minor salivary gland or obstructed duct of the gland..

It is however harmless and will not cause and severe pathology..

In case if it occurs again you can do concentrated salt water rinses as it helps in regression of the lump.

In case if the symptoms worsen consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
