What Causes Bumps On Back Of Tongue?

Hello, I have bumps on the very back of my tongue towards the throat and it hurts to swallow or spit. I brushed my tongue and teeth and when I spat, there was a little blood. Should I be worried? Also when I used my pinky to feel the bumps, I realized the spit back there smells like poo

Welcome in HCM.

I understand your concern and as you felt and described about bump at the back of throat it is most likely-

1- Enlarged tonsils.

2- Hypertrophied lymphoids at the base of tongue.

Since you have notice blood in sputum so matter should be thoroughly examined by ENT doctor. Threrfore concern your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
