What Causes Bump On The Scar After C-section?

I had a c section 7 years ago, I have a bump on the right side of my scar. I noticed it about a year ago. right before and the first few days of my cycle i get a burning pain where the bump is. Sometimes it hurts during inter course. I was thinking about having another child would it be safe to try? What could this possible be?

hello mam,
thnks fr trusting hcm magic doctrs fr ur health related queries.
i guess ur concern is- about the bump near scar n would it be safe to get pregnant..i got the picture..
lets sort out one by one:-
firstly bump thing-the scenario wat u giving points towards incisional hernia, possibly.but, nothing to worry......
secondly about ur next pregnancy....mam without any hesitation or second thought u can go for next pregnancy....tis bump has nothing to do with u getting pregnant....
but as u had c-section previously,so in next pregnancy chances of c section are very high,,,,if tat bump turns out be incisional hernia ,then during c section it may interfere surgeon while doing C section,,,,for tat u dont have to worry.....every problem has a solution..
with abv discussion u can try out my suggestions:-
1.visit a near by general surgeon specialist to confirm whether tat bump thing is incisional hernia or not.....
lets say its incisional hernia, then put forth ur pregnancy plan,,,so doctor will decide whether he/she wants to operate tat bump first n suggest u bcome pregnant,,or do c section n bump operation simultaneously..
advantage of going to general surgeon is that, lets say if tat bump doesnt turn out to be hernia,he/she can find out what exact abnormal thing is tat,,,does it need operation, does it interfere with pregnancy...its double advantage....

2.visit a nearby gynecologist/ur own doc who had done c section,7yrs back to have look at bump....n get an idea whether tat bump can interfere while doing c-section,,,whether it has to be operated first or both operations can be done simultaneously..
i hope tis was informative enough, helpful n useful fr ur query.
regards:dr.sudha rani panagar.
(in ur case its a team approach between general surgeon n gynecologist..
both take decision according to their experience, infrastructure facility of hospital where operation wil be done etc.....in our set up i guess we have dozens of cases like tis....whatever it is...ur pregnancy will be safe...)
i pray god u get blessed with cute baby as fast as possible, hopefully TWINS!!!!!!!
