What Causes Bruising On And Around The Ankle?
I have a large black and blue bruise on the side and bottom of my ankle. It seemed to disappear after 2 weeks, but is now reappeared and larger and on my foot as well. There is also a small puffy spot the size of a quarter above it, which is warm and hurts when I push against it. First I thought it might have been an insect bite, but it seems to have lasted too long.

Possibly not resolved hematoma or bursa cyst around the ankle.
The reasons may be compression from pressure, sitting postures or other joint related issues.
