What Causes Bruises On The Thighs?

I bruise very very easily, I joke that you can look at me wrong and Id bruise, but its almost true! I hardly ever know how I get them. Mainly on my thighs, occasionally upper arms. They get really dark, darker than they should for the injury and last a long time. My mother used to say I need an iron supplement. Is there an OTC supplement, or is there a better means for this? Thank you

Hi,

Iron supplements are available OTC. However, to be very honest your problem does not look to be related to low iron. Yes, iron may get low secondary to your bruising.

Bruising means very minor bleeds inside the sink. This may be related to to problems in blood clotting, problems in vessels, like very fragile as in some connective tissue disease or it may be because of very thin skin.

I think you should see a doctor for complete examination and investigation, if needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
