What Causes Bruises On Hips With Ribs Pain?

I just got home and noticed a decent sized bruise right above the hip on my lower left side it s more towards the front I have not hit it on anything I have been having pain on left side under my rib cage for over two weeks and the doctors can t figure it out the bruise is new

Hello
If the bruise form without injury then it needs further investigation in form of BT/CT/PT time.This is to assess the bleeding and clotting tendency of blood.
Do you take drugs like aspirin? or any other drug which decreases clotting capacity of blood.
