Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I work in the ambulance service and commonly carry patients in the carry chair, i have noticed that i am getting bruises on my wrists directly after lifting the patient almost like i have popped a vessel or something - please can you advise. I suffer no pain or discomfort and regularly use the gym, i do not smoke
This situation could be related to increased blood vessel fragility. Anyway, I would recommend checking coagulation tests in order to be sure that your symptoms are not related to any hematological disorders.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
