I was doing curles while peddling on on a stationary bike, I was only using 10 pound weights, when lifting te weights up I heard a loud pop and now my arm hurts from my wrist through my bi crept if I move it the wrong way or pick something up , if I twist my ristward it hurts all the way through my arm. After the pop a couple of days later I had a big bruise ruby red on my under arm just before my elbow about 6 inches long and 4 inches wide. Did I grupture a mussel or snap a tendon. How do I find out what I did?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history of a bruise on arm. My treatment advice is –
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
