What Causes Brownish Vaginal Discharge During Intercourse?

Hello, I am having a little problem. The last two times my boyfriend and I have had sex there is a brownish discharge on the condom afterwards. I am taking the birth control Jolessa and have been on it for 3 months now. The last two times we had sex were right before and after my period. Both my boyfriend and I are a little freaked out, and grossed out. Is this serious?

Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

Having brownish discharge on the condom after you have sex is due to dry or hard sex that has caused laceration of vagina mucosa.

This is not serious, however, you can run a vaginal swab testing to rule out vaginal infection.

Try to discuss with your partner to wait until reaching full orgasm before penetration.

If vaginal infection is present, you can get it treated locally through vaginal ovules/cream.

All the best!
