General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The brown vaginal discharge with the smell is associated with staphylococcal infection via vaginal tampon.
* There are chances of superantigen-induced septic shock syndrome and so the same should be addressed to an ER without any delay for prompt early therapy initiation with broad-spectrum antibiotics and other supportive care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
