What Causes Brownish Discharge And Pain During Menstruation?
33-year-old female that recently stopped taking birth control in hopes of getting pregnant (3 months ago). I am having brown discharge after a 3 day menses and severe cramps. I believe I was a few days late starting my period, but I know hormonal imbalances due to not taking bc can cause fluctuation with cycles. What can be causing this severe pain?

Most or all of your symptoms could be due to the discontinuation of the birth control. It may take some time for things to regularize so be patient. If at all it takes more than 2-3 months then it would be best to visit your doctor for a thorough evaluation.
