What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge?

Hello, I started what I thought was my period 12 days ago. Straight away it was dark brown and thick. It has carried on this way, turning almost black and is not heavy enough to fill a pad in a day. It is thick, sometimes with clots and sometimes with coffee grain in the toilet bowl. I had the Nexaplanon fitted in December and have had normal but heavy periods up until this cycle. Last smear test was normal approx 8 months ago. Please help.

Hi, I think you can be having some vaginal infection. Get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist. You may need some antibiotics and antifungal drugs. You may need some vaginal pessary of antibiotics and antifungal drugs also.
