What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge Post Tubal Ligation?
Hi i had a tubal done 4 in a half months ago and shortly after that i had another surgery maybe couple weeks later and come dec my periods went back to normal well late January early Feb i started have old blood discharge and had period on time in green and week after i was off i had the old blood discharge and my Dr that did my tubal said it sounds like the clamps came off. Can that happen?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Experiencing brown vaginal discharge after undergoing tubal ligation can happen in some women as the menstrual pattern could take some time to regain to normal because of the hormonal changes taking place. Some of the retained endometrium of the previous cycles could be shed off in the form of such brown discharge. Such discharges should decrease in frequency as you start getting your periods regularly and hence nothing much to be worried about it. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
