What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge, Headache And Back Pain?
Hi. I had sex on sep2 and was supposed to get my period on sep 5th. I am now 4 days late i have been getting headaches, lower back pain, and just yesterday I got a light brown discharge. What could this mean? And when is a good time to take a pregnancy test?
Hello dear Understand your concern There may be chance of pregnancy as you had sexual intercourse during ovulation period/fertile period of your cycle. Light brown discharge may be implantation bleeding that occur around the time of period, very light and associated with slight abdominal cramp, just for 1-2 days only. You should wait for 6 days more. If with in 6 days period will not come then you have to go for home pregnancy detection kit (Should e done with fresh morning urine sample). Better confirmation should be done by blood HCG and USG scan. In absence of pregnancy if period will delay then following cause should be rule out by consuting the gynecologist: Hormonal dysfunction, ovarian dysfunction/PCOS, vaginal infection, endometriosis. Hope this may hep you Best regards Dr. Sagar
