What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge Before Periods?

Hello, I am currently trying for baby number 1 4 days before my period I had brown discharge which lasted around 3-4 days i have taken 3 tests and they have all come up with faint positives, I am now 3 days late and I woke up this morning and saw brown discharge so I went to the toilet and done a test and again that come up faint positive. I m also experiencing mild cramps. Am I pregnant, Is this implantation bleeding or is this a miscarriage.

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.

If you have history of regular cycles, then please wait for 7 days past your expected date of menses.
Please get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy.
In case of any doubt blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help to confirm the pregnancy.

Brown discharge can be some kind of bleeding, may be implantation bleeding or retro chorionic bleeding.
I will insist that if pregnancy test is positive, then please get USG done to know about the viability and gestational age of pregnancy and to rule out any retro chorionic bleeding.

Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for pregnancy support medications like Injection HCG 5000 IU twice a week and Capsule Natural micronized Progesterone 200 mg twice a; both till 9 weeks of pregnancy.

As you are planning to conceive ,I have few suggestions for you.
Please start on Folic acid and vitamin B 12 supplements regularly, this helps to prevent various complications during conception and pregnancy and childbirth.
