What Causes Brown Mucus And Light Brown Spotting?

Since about 4 1/2 weeks pregnant I have had brown mucus and light brown spotting, not enough to use a panty liner, mostly when I wipe, sometimes a spot on my underwear. Now I am seeing tiny pieces of brown matter with the discharge.. Not sure if it is clotted blood or tissue. I went to the doctor at 5 weeks and the vaginal exam they didn t notice anything and the scan just showed a gestational sac. They said it was too early and would not see me for 2 more weeks. I am worried I am having a miscarriage or might have an infection. Should I go back to the doctor earlier or just wait? I am still having the discharge. Thanks.

Hello dear thanks for trusting health care magic.
This discharge is suggestive of possible abortion so you should be prepared for this.
But wait for the next ultrasound and till then keep taking your medicines as prescribed.
