General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. two days prior to menstruation comes in a safe ( non fertile) zone- so there is no possibility of being pregnant due to the unprotected sex you had 2 days before your periods. The scanty period might be due to - -Implantation bleeding Pregnancy being due to earlier sex you had around your ovulation period,) - Menstrual irregularity due to hormonal imbalance, - Some other possibilities like fibroid uterus/ ovarian problem, PCOD. * A blood HCG testing, USG abdomen would confirm the cause- to be followed by specific treatment by a gynecologist. Thanks.
