Hi I'm 26 and suffer from chronic anxiety (I get an attack every day without fail), for the past 2 years. Of late I'm experiencing abdominal problems. Every morning I'm woken up by the urge to have a bowel movement. The morning bowel movement is often pasty (brown in colour) but yellow when I wipe. And it sometimes colours the water yellow. My stomach gets spasms, a lot of gas and a burning sensation.
I went to the doctor a month ago and was diagnosed with an ulcer and given antibiotics. They didn't work and I went to a different doctor who suggested that due to my anxiety disorder I could IBS. She put me on a pill that will get my serotonin levels high, and asked to see me in a month to monitor my progress and the yellow residue in my stool.Why does my stool look brown but yellow when I wipe?
