What Causes Breathlessness Despite Giving Monticope Syrup To Child?

My daughter has been suffering from breathing problem since her birth. Now she is 3 yrs and 9 months. we have used some Homeopathic medicine, it had given some relief for few months but again started. Homeo doctor told that it is allergy, we also got convinced for that because she also got some itching near hand and leg folding. Recently we have visited another pediatrician who told that it is not allergy but she got some small wound kid of growth inside the nose which is causing the breathing problem. He suggested montecope syrup to use regularly. If still persists we may need to operate after she reaches 5 years. However, still she is suffering from breathing problem and so could not have proper night sleep. Can any one sense the right cause of problem and suggest any course of short and long term treatment procedure.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have symptoms of breathlessness despite giving Monticope syrup which is due to chest infection and it could be due to throat infection as well. It seems you have wheeze associated lower respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit pediatrician once and get it examined completely like throat swab test a, blood test and get X-ray chest done. Start treatment after proper examination. Start treatment after proper diagnosis is made out. Till then take proper course of antibiotics to you. Take steam inhalation , which will be very helpful. Avoid giving child any cold carbonated beverages. Avoid giving any outside food to child.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
