What Causes Breathlessness And Swollen Ankles After Taking Depo Shot?

I have been on Depo for 20 years. Since starting this I have always had shortness of breath with exertion, as well as swelling ankles. I was told this would settle down, never did. I am not over weight. I walk 3 km 5 days a week. I had to see a different doctor for my last injection as my doctor was on holiday. This new doctor did not want me to continue with Depo due to possible bone density concerns. I had endometriosis before starting on this, I have grave concerns about stopping Depo.

Hi,

It’s not related to Depo shot and may be due to something else. You can consult a physician and get evaluated if swelling persist.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
