What Causes Breathlessness And Right Shoulder Pain In A Heart Attack Survivor?

My husband has had 2 heart attacks and has 2 stents from them. During the July 4th holiday weekend we ended up at the ER due to him experiencing shortness of breath and a pain in his right shoulder radiating up into his neck. After 2 rounds of blood works tests, 2 EKG s, and a CAT scan it was determined that he did not have a heart attack and he was released to go home w/instructions to see his cardiologist to see if there was something wrong w/the soft tissue of his heart...what could this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The pain you have could be due to overuse, strain to right shoulder.less blood supply to heart(angina), pericarditis or pleurisy. It is better to get him checked by his heart specialist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
