What Causes Breathing Difficulty And Pain In The Chest?

I have trouble breathing and my right lung feels like it is paining. The only relief I find is having someone pound on my upper back. I also have a mechanical valve for about 12 years now and take warfin. I am in menopause and have gained about 30pounds but I still try to exercise.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, we should should first rule out lung diseases (lung infection and bronchitis) for your symptoms.
So get done chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
You may need antibiotics, inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid on the basis of reports.
Sometimes, obesity and hormonal imbalance (Menopausal) can also cause similar symptoms.
So consult gynecologist and discuss about need of hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
