What Causes Breathing Difficulty After Taking Xanax After Alcohol Consumption?

Hi I had a little bit of alcohol but not enough to get me drunk but it was liquor. i took 5.5mg of Xanax shortly after. I had trouble breathing sort of but I got 22+ breaths a minute and I know that if it s below 12 breaths per minute its respiratory depression. am I going to be okay?

Yes,you will be ok if there is no pain in chest or dizziness. But it is known that alcohol should not be taken with these medication and it may suppress breathing and cause somnolency. So in future don't mix it.
