What Causes Breathing Difficulty After Insertion Of A Coronary Stent?

My Mom had a stent put into her large cardiac artery (Widowmaker) yesterday. She is now home and having extreme difficulty breathing without any chest pain. She also says that she s heard someone asking her questions when the room is quiet. Is this par for the course? When is it time to take her to the ER?

Hello,

Consult a physician and get evaluated.

We have to rule out possible causes like pneumothorax.

Detailed evaluation is required including a chest X-ray.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
