What Causes Breast Cancer?

I was diagnosed with breast cancer Nov 2014. I had 12 chemo and 25 radiation. It was Herrs Ii type. No known breast cancer in my family. An OB Dr. Prescribed a vag cream with Premarin while I was takiing Evista for 10 yrs .or more. I think that caused the cancer. My breast surgeon took me off Evista and the vag cream immediately. Do you think that caused the Cancer?

Hello,

Breast cancer can occur without a family history in the family.

Evista is not likely to cause breast cancer, however, it has an estrogenic effect in the body so it was taken off by your doctor.

Premarin cream contains estrogen. however, the topical application of Premarin is not likely to cause breast cancer.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
