What Causes Boyfriend To Lose Interest In Relationship During Winter?
Hi,
I have been with my boyfriend for a year now. at the start he said that he gets a little down when it becomes winter but i never really thought it would be this serious. 2 months ago he started to become distant and it felt like he wasnt in the relationship msgs become less and he wouldnt talk to me on the phone or arrange to see me it was me doing all the work. This made me resentful which lead to arguments. I asked him one day does he want to be with me and he replied i cant be in a relationship with you right now you deserve someone that can give you what you deserve as he cant express anything the way he is feeling he says he still loves me and txts to say he is thinking of me but he cant cope with a relationship right now the way he is feeling. He doesnt know why he feels they way he does and says it gives him a feeling of knots in his chest. Im trying to understand but what i want to know is, is this signs of depression and should i walk away.

My first advice to you would be that don't walk away so soon and don't give up on the people you love. It's alright for people to go through a phase in life when they feel confused and trapped in the present situation.
Maybe there is some memory which is related to winters and he's trying to overcome that.
You have been with your partner for over a year now. There has to be something about the relationship that kept you attached to him for so long. Give him time to adjust to his problems. Be there for him silently.
