What Causes Boil Like Pimples On Vagina?

I am 24 years old and I have been getting boil like pimples on my vagina for the past several years now, I do not shave and I do know that my father also is dealing with the same thing on certain areas of his body so it can be genetic. I went to the dermatologist and she said she can give me a cream to see what that can do or she would have to stick a needle in each bump/boil to see what happens after that. this is very embarrassing and is interfering with my sex life. is there anything I can take or use to get rid of them permanently ?

You told that you have been getting boil or pimple on your vagina for past several years now.

You vaginal examination is must for diagnosis of the so called boils or pimples.

It can be either boil/ pimple
It can be an infection of Human pappiloma virus/ molluscum contagiosum
It can be sebaceous cyst.

As you gave history that your father is dealing with the same problem in certain areas of his body I think that you should have second opinion of a dermatologist or should get your father examined by the dermatologist you consulted. The infectious nature of the problem has to be ruled out.
I think the possibility of this lesion being a genetic one is very less.

If you dermatologist wish to take a sample of the lesion for further investigation co-operate with her. There is nothing embarrasing getting thoroughly examined by your doctor. It is for your betterment only.

The permanent treatment of this problem depends upon the diagnosis of it.

For boils, personal hygiene is a must

For any infection complete course of antibiotics(pertinent one) is a must.

If it a cyst and very small one, it hould be left alone

Follow your doctor's advice.
