What Causes Boil In Sclera Of Eye?
Hi, I am woman 30 years of age and have a small raised boil like area in the sclera of my right eye. It is not causing any discomfort. I am myopic and also have retinal degeneration in both eyes. I had a dialated fundoscopy last week to keep a check on the degeneration and my doctor suggested to continue watching it. Do I need to go back to get this boil looked at immediately? Thanks,

It seems from the history that you are having a boil on the sclera.
This can be because of conjunctival degenerations like pinguecula, pterygium or inflammations like episcleritis or scleritis.
If you are not having pain or discomfort no need to worry you can get it checked when you go for next visit to your doctor.
