What Causes Body Rash, Pain And Swelling Around The Limb Joints?

I woke up saturday morning with a rash on my chest, stomach, back, upper arms, and upper legs. I asked a pharmecist and he said it looked like a drug allergy reaction. Sunday morning I woke up and the rash was fading a little in my body but had moved to the lower parts of my legs and arms. Monday I woke up and the rash was still fading but now I have severe pain in all my joints and my hands and feet are swollen. Any idea what this might be?? I also have a lymph node on the base of my neck in the back that is swollen and sore.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction. I suggest using antihistamines such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily. I also suggest using Calamine lotion for local application. If the symptoms continue, I suggest consulting your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
