What Causes Blurred Vision Along With Metallic Taste?

Today I experienced temporary wavy vision in one eye, followed by a strong metal taste, and lastly a headache and nausea. My vision cleared after about an hour but I m still not feeling quite right. I ve never had this happen before although ive been getting migraines since I was about 10years old I m 36 now. Is this something i should worry about?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear thanks for the question.

It seems that you had ocular (eye) migraine as it is common in migraine patients. Ocular migraine appears as an attack of blurred vision and patient recovers in 30 to 60 minutes which has happened in your case. You also had other symptoms of migraine (headache, nausea) which further strengthens this probability of ocular migraine.

However you should visit you physician and eye specialist for detailed examination and rule out any serious problem before it surprises us. Be aware it may happen again too.

I wish you a healthy living.
