Hi,
Blurred vision is most likely due to low glucose levels in blood (hypoglycemia)
Metformin never causes hypoglycemia (unless taken in toxic amounts) as its mechanism of action is different. It enhances the peripheral utilisation of glucose i.e causes muscles and fat cells to use up the available glucose in blood unlike the other drugs that cause insulin like action. Are you taking any other drugs / insulin along with Metformin?
Metformin therefore cannot be the cause of your hypoglycemia unless you were hiked up on the dose at that particular time of hypoglycemia episode. (even this is rare). If that is not the case continue metformin,or else consult your treating physican.
And your last statement is unclear "when I took my sugar after eating a hr after the initial onset of symptoms it was 129".
