What Causes Blood To Collect Under Skin With Bruising While Donating Blood?

Recently I was donating blood plasma when something apparently went wrong with the needle and i started to have a large amount of blood collect under the skin. They told me it would go away with time and cold press but it's been a week and the bruising just seems to be spreading. Am I in any medical danger? Or will it go away with time?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Don't worry about that. Its just a haematoma formation due to extravasation of blood.
At time of needle puncture some blood may goes outside the vrin and creates haematoma. It will disappear by itself. Just apply ice massage on it. No treatment is required.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.
