What Causes Blood Tinged Mucus Like Vaginal Discharge?

I get a blob of bloody mucus discharged from my vagina a few hours after masturbation. Is this normal? I am 31, I last had sex over a year ago, I have no children. My masturbation sessions do not involve inserting anything into my vagina, I just squeeze my legs and I have an orgasm. The first time I noticed this was about 5month ago. I went for a Pap smear and the result was ok. I don t masturbate often, maybe once a month, and I notice this bloody blob of mucus.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to minor abrasion in the vaginal mucosa.

Most probably it will settle by itself without any definite treatment.

If symptoms persist you can consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
