Sometimes when i woke up in the morning, i used to have stain of blood in the saliva when i go for a brush and not any other time. Two days back i was having some stomach disorder and when i vomit the vomit was in red and maroon (maroon ) mostly and from that time when ever i used to have proper lunch after some time i used to vmit atleast a bit of what i had and its not possible to have complete food. I am 25 years of age and i a bit concerned whether it could be ulcer?
If you vomit blood, it means there's bleeding somewhere in your oesophagus, stomach or the first part of your small intestine (duodenum). CAUSES :1)Stomach ulcer or severe gastritis 2)Oesophageal varices (Oesophageal varices are enlarged veins in the walls of the lower part of the oesophagus. They bleed, but don't usually cause any pain.) 3)Severe gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) is where acid leaks out of the stomach and up into the oesophagus.) 4)Tear in the oesophagus (Prolonged retching can tear the lining of your oesophagus, which can also result in bleeding). 5)Swallowed blood (It's possible to swallow blood in certain circumstances – for example, after a severe nosebleed.) investigations : simple blood tests and gastroscopy/OGD note : as blood in vomit (haematemesis) is a medical emergency, u should better to consult physician/surgeon.
