What causes blood in urine?

I have noticed on three different occasions when I urinate I saw twice pink tinge looking tissue then the third time it look like a long strip of tissue with blood. I have a history of fibroid tumors I am not sure if this is related. Also from time to time I have pelvic and lower back pain.

Good Day and thank you for being with Healthcare Magic!

Blood in the urine is always a red flag and further investigation is needed ASAP. Blood in the urine is usually the first symptom a patient can experience from and genitourinary cancer/malignancies and should be ruled out immediately. You need to have a urinalysis and a kidney urinary bladder ultrasound immediately. These tests are non-invasive, readily available everywhere and has a high sensitivity in detecting abnormalities in your genitourinary system, Around 90% of the time with these 2 tests we can already diagnose what is causing your blood in the urine.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://www.HealthcareMagic.com/doctors/dr-manuel-c-see-iv/66014 I would gladly help you. Best wishes.
