What Causes Blood In Urine, Nausea And Dizziness?

my son has had blood in his urine for about one week. While urinating yesterday he became instntly nauseated, light headed, and broke out in a cold sweat. He denies any pain or burning while urinating or any pain in his back/kidney area. My first thought was a renal/kidney calculi but other than the bloody urine has no other s/s.

Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for query .You have not mentioned age of your son in your query .

Painless hematuria without any urinary symptoms needs to be investigated .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests to establish diagnosis
1) Urine routine and culture
2) Blood test for Coagulation profile
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
4) Intravenous Pyelography .(I.V. P)
5) C.T Scan of Kidney ,Uretr and bladder with and without contrast
6) Endoscopic examination of bladder (Cystoscopy) if required .

Further treatment will depend upon the final diagnosis .
