What Causes Blood In Stools With History Of Hernia?
My 75 year old brother has a groin hernia. Surgery was delayed this week due to an infection. He has been taking antibiotics since Tuesday. He said he now has blood in his stool beginning today. His doctor won t be in the office until Monday. He also has hemroids (sp?). Is blood in the stool a side effect of some antibiotics? I don t know which one he is taking.
Thanks for consulting. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.
the blood int he stool is not due to the hernia but due to the hemorrhoid.
ask him to see that he does not pass hard stool. take plenty of water and take laxatives.
Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.
Have a wonderful time ahead.
