What Causes Blood In Stools Followed By Constipation And Loose Stools?

For 2 weeks now it started out as very painful stool and it would burn beyond belief with blood and mucus in the stool. This happened for 4 days then i was constipated or had very little stool having a pain on the left side just below the rib cage and this has been going on since. Now i have painful watery stool and in the whole 2 weeks ive always felt like i had to go and feel constant pushing feeling at the anus.

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
You are having altered bowel habits i.e. alternate diarrhoea (mixed with blood & mucus) and constipation. This demands a prompt digital rectal examination and procto-sigmoidoscopy to rule out essentially any colo-rectal growth.Fecal occult blood test won't be out of place.

Regards
