What Causes Blood In Stool?

Hi, I am 21 with no medical history, no allergies etc and on no long term medication. I went to the doctors two days ago and was told I have tonsillitis. The Doctor gave me antibiotics along with some other tablets. He asked if my stool was fine and I answered yes. However today I noticed less than a tea spoon of blood in my stool. Now I am worried about why this is. Please can you advise me?? Thank you

Blood in the stool is typically not related to tonsillitis. The incident is likely unrelated. if this is new for you continue to monitor your stools. If you do not have abdominal pain or change in bowel habits , this is likely minor bleeding from hemorrhoids. if this bleeding continues or worsens , seek medical advice.
