What Causes Blood In Stool?.

dear doctor, i am 22 years old, and am a vegetarian, i have been fasting for 5 days now due to a religious ceremony going on, i have water all throughout the day and i eat fruits only, yesterday while in the toilet i noticed pain and then i noticed blood in my stools, this has never happened as i have never had and upset stomach or some other issues, i am worried... please advice, is it due to the sudden loss in diet, or is it something else??
