hey, I ve had blood in my stool for the past 3-4 months. I am a male aged 24 years old. The colour of the blood is typically bright red or a darker bright red. And it is with each bowel movement that there is to be some blood. I ve not done a colonoscopy yet, but was wondering what the most likely thing could be?

Hello, Thanks for your query. With regards to your red blood in stools it may be caused from: - hemorrhoids -anal fissure - inflammatory bowel disease I would recommend you to go to a general surgeon and get your rectal examination. This will solve the issue. Avoid constipation. Drink lot of water and lots of fibre in diet. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
