What Causes Blood In Stool?

Have blood in stool, bright red. Not hemroids . Seen specialist, had no answer for me after multiple scopes, both ends. Comes on average every week and a half or so. Tried to figure out if it s certain foods I eat. No luck there. What could cause blood in stool, bright red, besides hemroids?

Hello! Teh presence of blood in stool indicates that bleedin is present in digestive tract. Since the blood is red and bright, the bleeding is originated from the lower part of the bowels.
Different causes of blood in stool may be anal fissure (a cut or a tear in the lining tissue of anus), anal fistula (a tissue channel that connects the skin near the anus with the anus and rectum), diverticular disease (diverticula are like ockets in the colon and sometimes they bleed), rectal polips, rectal cancer, abnormal blood vessels wich tend to change with age. Gastroenteritis and inflammatory bowel disease may cause bleeding diarrhea with frequent and urgent need to defecate.
I hope i have been of help.
