What Causes Blood In Stool While On Amitriptyline?
Hi Doctor, I was just recently prescribed amitriptyline 10 mg before bed. I have only taken 2 doses. I have noticed blood in my stool. I have a history of I.B.S. and hemmroids. Is this a normal side effect, or by chance my hemmeroids are acting up at the same time?

There is no relation between blood and amitryptilline the bleeding is due to hemorrhoids please see a general surgeon for hemorrhoids
