What causes blood in stool post a colposcopy?

Male 62 y/o had colposcopy 2 yrs ago was clean. Had large, hard bowel movement 2 weeks ago that produced bright red bleeding on stool and in water. After 1 week it seemed to be better but went to doctor to be checked. Rectal exam done no sign of hemorrhoids or anything Doctor could see nor was there any blood visible with exam. Last two days less blood but more today. Could this be caused by the large bowel movement that made a fissure higher up? Or a hemorrhoid night up. I have read fissures cam take 2-8 weeks to heal. Thank you.

Most likely this is a hemorrhoid problem and internal hemorrhoids can't often be determined just by a rectal exam. But it could be a colon polyp or even colon cancer so, were I your doctor, I would do another colonoscopy at this point. Unless there's a lot of pain with your bowel movements, it couldn't be a rectal fissure
