What Causes Blood In Spit With Dry Cough?

Hi I have seen some light coloured blood in my saliva this morning when I spittet out and gathered the saliva hard from the back of my throat this had only happened to me once during the night however I did experience some discomfort in my throat eg dry cough

I have gone through your query. Irritation of throat while having hard cough can give some blood from the throat. But if you get it so often then better to get it examined by an ENT specialist. You should get a sputum AFB test and chest X ray to rule out tuberculosis also. Taking cough suppressants , antihistamines like cetirizine (zyrtec) , using throat lozenges and steam inhalation will be helpful.
