What Causes Blood Clots In Urine?

I have been passing blood clots through my urine for about a day, once every 3 to 6 months. I have been to (2) specialist and they have run test, cat scans, run dye through my kidneys and took (2) biopsy in my bladder and still they have come up with nothing. It does not bother me or hurt except when I am getting ready to start passing blood clots and that only last a little while and then its gone. Do you have any recommendations on this.

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate clear history.
Since you have gone through 2 Urologist and all the relevant tests, it is imperative to note that you have to go for consultation , scopies and tests only when there is a clot in the urine as rest of the times all the tests will be negative.
The only tests that can help us to get a probable diagnosis and angiography during the time of the bleeding that can find the site. This to be followed by Cysto-urethrscopy and do cauterization or so, if the bleeding spot is found.
Otherwise nothing to be done when you do not bleeding from the bladder.

I hope this answer helps you to get investigated at the time of the next attack.
