What Causes Blood Clots From Rectum With Abdominal Pain?

i have mucus mixed with blood clots from rectum. this started 4 days ago. stool does not have blood mixed in. i have no fever but i do have abdominal pain. i dont have any appetite loss and i have not experienced any loss of weight (in fact i am overweight). feel like i need to go to restroom but when there feels like constipation and only thing that comes out if the mucus and blood clots. when i do go stools are thin. stools are not dark in color, just normal. i do have loss of breath (a little of late) and pain in joints which i put down to overweight and recently stopping antidepressants after 8 years. i have scheduled a colonoscopy for 2 weeks time. i am 46. thoughts?
